Garden on a Plate Competition 13 June 2026
Please do encourage your children to enter this fun and creative activity for young gardeners and crafty creators alike!
🌱 How it works
Children are invited to design and create their very own miniature dream garden using a paper plate as the base. They can use:
🍃 leaves, flowers and twigs
🎨 paints and craft materials
♻️ recycled items
🧚 fairy garden ideas
🐝 wildlife themes
🌻 or anything else their imagination inspires!
👧 Age Categories
• Age 5 and below
• Age 6-10 years
• Age 11-16 years
💷 Entry Fee
50p per entry
🏷 Important information
- Any craft materials may be used
- No battery-operated items and no sharp objects please
- Natural materials encouraged (flowers, leaves, twigs, seeds, moss etc.)
- Recycled materials welcome
- Creations should be safe and suitable for display
- Children only to enter please, up to the age of 16 - no adults!
- Entrant's name and age must be written clearly underneath the plate
Include a parent/guardian contact number or email on the underside too
How to enter
Please can all participants bring their entries by 2.30pm to Henfield Hall Saturday 13th June (late entries may not be considered for judging). Judging will take place at 3pm with prizes awarded at 3.30pm.
